Welcome Mountain Top's First Residents
Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Howard moved into their new Mountain Top home just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. They are especially thankful for their beautiful new home with its wonderful mountain views and location in Cummings Cove. As avid golfers and frequent visitors to western North Carolina, Marshall and Nancy appreciate the many amenities provided at Cummings Cove in addition to a great golf course.
Native Floridians, Marshall and Nancy met in Daytona Beach while she was attending Florida State and he was at University of Florida. The long-standing school rivalry did not impede their mutual attraction. Many years later, they are looking forward to the birth of their first grandchild who will have a special room waiting in their new four bedroom home. Nancy designed the house, built by Kilpatrick & Company, to blend the comfort and warmth of a traditional home with a relaxed mountain lifestyle. The Howards were surprised and pleased how easy the building process was since they were in Florida through most of the construction. Nancy said: “Steve Kilpatrick made it easy to handle most questions by phone or e-mail. We are very pleased with the quality of his work.”
Steve Kilpatrick’s spec home on lot 74 will be the second home finished in Mountain Top followed by Mike Matthews’ and Ernie Ball’s specs on lots 21 and 22. Three additional new spec homes will be started soon in various phases of Mountain Top. The Battle Creek Road entrance to Mountain Top will be opened next spring for construction equipment access.
